An interactive discussion session called “One Topic Per Meeting” was held on the topic of Corporate and Social Partner Engagement to strengthen the connection between CEMSies and the Corporate and Social Partners. Previously, the Student Board meeting raised the topic of Hard Skills in CEMS Curriculum during Hong Kong meeting in 2018. Now the results have been discussed in several CEMS governing bodies, and Academic Directors are currently mapping the hard skills offering at their schools to determine which courses could add value to CEMS students.

The Student Board also had a company visit and a workshop session at McKinsey (Lisbon office). These events enabled CEMS Student Board to promote interactions with CEMS Corporate Partners, and therefore to build a more collaborative CEMS community.

Jannik Xu (Student Board Representative for Tsinghua):

The Lisbon meeting is a very productive one. As always, CEMS Student Board is an inclusive community bringing students opinions together and implementing initiatives to make an impact. One of the priority for this year is global integration, especially non-European schools, so we will try our best to increase the exposure of CEMS as well as promoting Tsinghua to all stakeholders in the alliance.

The Lisbon meeting was a success with student representatives at the same location to discuss and work together. Next physical meeting of 2019 will be at the new CEMS school: the American University of Cairo in September.
