Important note: Before you apply for scholarships, complete your application for graduate programs at Tsinghua University first. Considering the application deadline of scholarships, applicants who want to apply for the Chinese Government Scholarship (Type A or Type B) should complete the application for graduate programs at Tsinghua University as early as possible (highly recommended to complete in the first round: Currently - 17:00 p.m. December 15, 2023 [Beijing time]). Otherwise, you may miss the deadline of some CGS Type B programs. Tsinghua University only selects scholarship candidates from pre-admitted students.

About CGS/How to apply:

The CSC application system clarifies the meaning of CGS and Program Category Type A/Type B，states CGS application document requirements for each program. Please refer to the CSC website for information carefully before applying：https://campuschina.org/

• 留学项目种类 Type A 一般指除中国高校外其他受理机构负责招生的奖学金项目，如国别项目、专项奖学金项目。此类项目的申请人在下一步须填写相应受理机构（如中国驻某国大使馆）的“受理机构编号”，所提交的申请将由相应受理机构进行审核。

Program Category Type A generally refers to scholarship programs responsible by authorities except Chinese universities, such as Bilateral Program, Designated Scholarship Programs. Applicants of Type A programs are requested to fill in the Agency Number of relevant agencies (e.g. Chinese Embassy in your country). Applications of Type A will be reviewed by these agencies.

• 留学项目种类 Type B 一般指中国政府奖学金高校自主招生项目。此类项目的申请人在下一步须填写相应高校的“受理机构编号”，所提交的申请将由相应高校进行审核。

Program Category Type B generally refers to scholarship programs responsible by Chinese universities under CGS-Chinese University Program. Applicants of Type B programs are requested to fill in the Agency Number of relevant universities. Applications of Type B will be reviewed by the applied universities.

报考清华经管学院硕士项目申请CGS的不同途径：

Ways to apply for CGS through master programs in School of Economics & Management, Tsinghua University:

• 金融硕士项目：此项目不参与B类推荐，申请人仅可通过A类项目申请CGS。强烈建议申请人在第一批次完成清华大学金融硕士项目的申请(时间：当前—北京时间2023年12月15日17:00)。请尽早联系中国驻外使领馆（驻申请人所属国家）等机构了解申请时间和流程。

Master of Finance (MoF) program:

This program do not participate in the CGS Type B recommendation. Applicants in this program can only apply for CGS Type A. Applicants who want to apply for MoF program should complete the application as early as possible (highly recommended to complete in the first round: Currently - 17:00 p.m. December 15, 2023 [Beijing time]). Please contact relevant agencies (e.g. Chinese Embassy in applicant's country) to find out the application time and process.

• 管理硕士项目：申请人可通过A类或B类项目申请CGS。强烈建议CGS B类的申请人在第一批次完成清华大学管理硕士项目的申请(时间：当前—北京时间2023年12月15日17:00)。能够被清华大学提名的B类申请人数量非常有限，竞争激烈，建议申请人通过A类项目申请。

Master in Management (MiM) program:

Applicants can apply for CGS Type A and Type B. Considering the application deadline of CGS, applicants who want to apply for Type B should complete the application for MiM program as early as possible (highly recommended to complete in the first round: Currently - 17:00 p.m. December 15, 2023 [Beijing time]). Since the number of candidates that can be recommended by Tsinghua University is very limited and the application for CGS Type B is highly competitive, applying through Type A programs is strongly recommend.

• 清华-哥大商务分析双硕士项目：联合培养项目，不参与B类推荐CGS。申请人能否通过A类项目申请，需咨询中国驻外使领馆等机构（驻申请人所属国家）。

Tsinghua –Columbia Dual Master’s Degree Program in Business Analytics (TCMiBA) program:

According to the rules and regulations, CGS Type B program is not open to joint-degree graduate programs. Applicants are required to consult relevant agencies (e.g. Chinese Embassy in applicant's country) if they can apply for CGS Type A programs.
