Important note: Applicants are required to complete the application for graduate programs at Tsinghua University before applying for the Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS). Considering the application deadline of scholarships, applicants who want to apply for CGS (Type A or Type B) should complete the application for graduate programs at Tsinghua University as early as possible (highly recommended to complete in the first round from 8:00, October 15 to 17:00 December 15, 2022; Online Application: http://gradadmission.tsinghua.edu.cn). Otherwise, you may miss the deadline of some CGS Type B programs. Tsinghua University only selects scholarship candidates from pre-admitted students.

Program Category Type A generally refers to scholarship programs responsible by authorities except Chinese universities. Applicants of Type A programs are requested to fill in the Agency Number of relevant agencies (e.g. Chinese Embassy in your country). Applications of Type A will be reviewed by these agencies.

Program Category Type B generally refers to scholarship programs responsible by Chinese universities under CGS-Chinese University Program. Applicants of Type B programs are requested to fill in the Agency Number of relevant universities. Applications of Type B will be reviewed by the applied universities.

Ways to apply for CGS through master programs in School of Economics & Management, Tsinghua University:

Master of Finance (MoF) program:

This program do not participate in the CGS Type B recommendation. Applicants in this program can only apply for CGS Type A. Please contact relevant agencies (e.g. Chinese Embassy in applicant's country) to find out the application time and process.

Master in Management (MiM) program:

Applicants can apply for CGS Type A and Type B. Considering the application deadline of CGS, applicants who want to apply for Type B should complete the application for MiM program at Tsinghua University as early as possible (highly recommended to complete in the first round from 8:00, October 15 to 17:00 December 15, 2022). Since the number of candidates that can be recommended by Tsinghua University is very limited and the application for CGS Type B is highly competitive, applying through Type A programs is strongly recommend.

Tsinghua-Columbia Dual Master's Degree Program in Business Analytics (TCMiBA) program:

According to the rules and regulations, CGS Type B program is not open to joint-degree graduate programs. Applicants are required to consult relevant agencies (e.g. Chinese Embassy in applicant's country) if they can apply for CGS Type A programs.
